Thread: Holding cell for Teak trees.

Out for a walk today in the woods with the kids,and came across,ribbed metal pole holding cells for Teak trees.

saw about six of them though believe there are more around the village,anyone else seeing this.?

Seems the illegal loggers have been around these parts again so the local govt have decided to build holding cells, that supposedly stop the theft of the teak.

I believe this is a common sight in particular isolated hardwood forested areas, as the government, of the last couple of decades, has taken control of everything of tropical hardwood value......in many cases, applies to private holdings of teak as well.

Good to know the ole gov can just take whatever they want.

rumour has it the PYB and his cronies were cutting them down and one of the cronies just happens to be the guy who is making the holding cells.

Had a good laugh today,two local rogue cops hurled away today by a platoon of soldiers, for cutting down teak trees around the village.

Never seen it but they came from every direction and fully armed the local roguue ops have been known for dealing in drugs etc,surprised it took so long.
