^^ It's only part of the central painting of 'The Saint Columba Altarpiece' by Rogier van der Weyden. The three panels tell a story and each has points of interest. A pity the donor is not shown on the left of the painting, nor the Temple of Jerusalem on the right. That would at least give context to the story being told.
The painting is in the Pinakothec museum in Munich if anyone is interested.
I'm sure this has been posted before in this thread and I was similarly unamused then.
Unlike you to falsely link my lack of amusement in a painting with being in Germany. I happen to like Munich very much.
