Had to look Stingray up in IMDB. Its going back a lot of years, but I remember a supermarionation TV show called Supercar, which turns out to have been done by the same director as Stingray. Supercar was apparently Gerry Anderson's first shot at a TV show using this puppetry technique. I can't remember watching any episodes of Stringray though.
