At left, 13-year-old Chris Bray scans the crowd witnessing the first space shuttle launch on April 12, 1981, while his 39-year-old father, Kenneth, looks through binoculars. At right, Chris and Kenneth strike a similar pose at the last shuttle launch on July 8, 2011.

They’re just a father and his son, out taking pictures at a shuttle launch. But these pictures reflect 30 years of history. On the left, Chris Bray and his father, Kenneth, stand out in the crowd that gathered to watch the first space shuttle lift off on April 12, 1981. Thirty years later, Chris and Kenneth commemorated the last shuttle launch by striking the same pose. The then-and-now photos have become an Internet sensation.

Clarke soaks up the applause after his birdie at the 18th hands him a share of the lead at four under. Meanwhile, four successive bogeys have left Donald in danger of missing the cut. Other Brits in trouble include Westwood, Harrington and McDowell. McIlroy's round of 69 leaves him on level par

Army personnel burn marijuana plants at a plantation discovered near San Quintin, Baja California state, Mexico, Friday, July 15. Soldiers have found the largest marijuana plantation ever detected in Mexico, a huge field covering almost 300 acres (120 hectares), covered by shaded netting, the Defense Department said Thursday. Warning over violent man after Edinburgh prison release

Police are trying to trace a man who has gone missing from Edinburgh following his release from prison.

They have warned that Ivy Brown, 31, poses a "potential high risk of violence to members of the public".

He was released on licence and a warrant has been issued for his immediate recall to custody.

A police spokesman said Brown was known to have travelled to Kings Cross Station in London and it is thought he may be in the Luton area.

He is thought to have lived in that area and has local contacts.

Brown was meant to report to social workers but failed to do so.

Lothian and Borders Police said there were concerns for his well-being as he was not taking prescribed daily medication.

Coventry University student's body found in Brazil

The body of a Coventry University student who went missing in the Amazon jungle has been recovered in Brazil, the Foreign Office has confirmed.

Olakunle Teniola, aged 20, disappeared after jumping into a lake with a friend in Manaus on Tuesday.

His friend emerged from the water but Mr Teniola did not. His body was recovered on Friday.

A Foreign Office spokeswoman said it was providing consular assistance to the family.

A university spokeswoman said Mr Teniola had been in his second year of a BA degree in youth work and had been in Brazil doing missionary work unrelated to his course.

"He comes from a very religious family, I understand he was a very committed Christian," she said.

His tutor, Brian Goredema-Braid, said Mr Teniola had been a popular student.

"He was very committed to his subject," he said.
