Originally built in 1914 as the residence of Luang Jitlamnongwanich. In 1927 it became the Royal Hotel until 1948, where it was transformed into the property of the Soviet/Russian Embassy {1948-1999}. Abandoned until 2005, where the extensions of Sathorn Square gobbled it up.

I was always wondering what this place was when i took skytrain on silom line. It's still there! When the BTS turns by rajadamri to Surasak, you can see this place on your right hand side.
