The Chevy sedans and were pretty much unchanged from 1940 to 1947 The next generation (the first family car I can remember) was only slightly changed. It wasn't until about 1953 that they changed to a more modern squarer look.
Very common in the public/community manner - urban and rural - for educational systems to be handled by the local Wat. Still practiced well into the 1960s before the change.
