How were the haircuts?...
I had an accident on beach road, (Dusit corner) in 1983 when the bike frame snapped while attempting to navigate the corner at high speed wearing shorts and a T shirt!
Pretty sure beach road was one way then down to the junction where Central road joins, it was some years later until all became one way - I think?
I shall try defrag a few more brain cells and try remember!

In case anyone was wondering, Saphan Kwai, or Buffalo bridge, was built across an intersection & klong that ran alongside Phahonyotin Road. It was a meeting place for rice farmers, buffalo traders and slaughterhouse workers. (wikipedia)

Some great photos...the Kao San Road in 1986 was just beginning to attract backpackers. The main area for travelling was around the Asia hotel.
