Did the sale of tobacco and cigars along with a haircut lead to it being labelled a place of ill repute hence use of the word "toilet saloon" as opposed to just a regular "saloon?"
And shouldn't it be a salon anyway or is saloon just the English version of salon (although I've always seen it spelled salon unless it was in a bar- saloon)?
