^ It was interesting to see rich Thai Chinese arriving in a Mercedes for the rally. Some showed up in nice vans with drivers. They think they are the only ones that represent the country.

I spoke with several about the democratic election which resulted in Samak being elected and was told that I just did not understand Thai politics. That Samak was a nominee for Taksin and this new government is really just made up of banned members from the dissolved Thai Rak Thai party. It is Taksin and his followers that are running the country and it is unacceptable.

When I persisted with pointing out that the majority of Thais elected this government. They said that voters were uninformed and did not know better. They feel that many voters are easily swayed by promises made by candidates.

I asked about doing it democratically in the next election and they said Thailand could not wait. The country will be ruined by then. Samak has to leave now.

Sa-mack is not the problem, rather a symptom of the problem. Getting rid of the ape won't make all the problems go away. The PPP will still be in charge -- and that's the problem.

    Says it all.

A small fraction of 1% of the countries voters want to run the country for their own benefit. Sad for the country that these kinds of tactics can over rule the democratic process.
