Coumt me in. I would hope that members on here along the route might provide a cool libation for thirsty travellers ..................
Me too, though our planning would have to be quite comprehensive. I'm thinking a back up vehicle for carrying spares, clothes etc.
yep i'm in. done it twice, north to south and vice verse. going back to wales for a few months, but back in the new year...

    It worked though!

Next trip has to be the length of Siam - north to south.

    Who's up for it?
A mate of mine did the Mae Sai-Malaysian border solo ride about two years ago at the age of 65. I think it took him 18 days. He has fairly severe respiratory problems and doesn't cycle or drink as much as he used to..

Can I join in when you're passing through Cha-Am?

Could have an overnight stop here and drink your Yaa Dong!

They'll probably put his steady steed on the last train to London along with the unicycles and clown suits.

Around about in about two weeks.

Shit, you could have gone and seen Lionel Ritchie at the Castle... For (according to my sis) 120 quid.

I'm warming to the idea, will have to get more road miles in.

What average speed to do you reckon for the group?

    How many days to complete?

What month are you all planning this next year?

Lots of questions and ideas to be thrown about..

That back up vehicle is a good idea and provides a bit of rear protection from mad drivers.
In the absence of Wetherspoons for sustenance will we have to rely on 7/11's?

Decent places to stay on the trip?

Start early morning to avoid the heat?

    Logistics?

Travelling masseuse to help with muscle tensions?

I am against this idea. I do not want to read on TD of numerous deaths of members through a big pile up.

Most of you have kids and wives and a life.

riding a bike in England and riding a bike in Thailand is so different. Look at that couple who were riding around the world and got wiped out in Thailand?

Fun idea. Enjoy, i shall cry. Make Wills - all monies to me. Then i shall smile!!

But alas, the old banger gave up a year or so back after years of being straddled by a fat kunt saturated in beer chang flavoured sweat.

Not sure it'll be as early as that for me. It'd definitely be a different animal to the LeJog I've just done - predominantly because of the tropical conditions. I'm quite sure a quiet route (with no fucking lorries at all) could be mapped though.

Depending on the timing, and provided we cycle at Chas' speed I'd be interested. I once did half* the length of Vietnam.

*half is not nearly as impressive as the entire length of the UK....

You could make the trip across Thailand an easy one and head down to the Dan Singkhon Burmese border crossing and head to the coast at Prachuap Khiri Khan - must be all of 20km!

I once walked coast to coast in the UK - St. Ives to Penzance - easy.
