Strange homestay guest group last night. Booked two nights for three pax, turned up with five...room comfortably handles four, five at a squeeze. Wife sorted it all including extra monies. Before leaving for dinner told us the shower hot water heater and two room lights were not working. Agreed we would look at it while they were out. Shower hot water heater was indeed working, as were the two room lights they said were not. We observed the lights for thirty minutes so no doubt they were okay. Guest announces this morning they are leaving a day early and staying in Sapan tonight. Wife sorted the finances nicely in our favour.
So what was going on...? They left booking too late and could not get a room for five so booked for a lower number to secure a room and just decided to turn up with five. They then managed to get a Sapan booking and rather than man up and tell us asap that they didn't need the second night, they did what they did after failing to build a case to leave early based on things not working. Icing on the cake for us, just resold the room at the second highest price we've ever achieved.
^ Ah, the hospitality industry
How thick does one need to be to work at 711?
Walked into one to pick up some milk, had my helmet on and visor down, jobsworth gestures to her mask and motions me out; I lifted the visor to show her it's a screen, which some might speculate is better than a mask, but that wasn't enough so I'm ushered out, to the bike, pick up a mask and walk back in holding it in my hand pressed against my mouth, except it didn't touch my mouth because the visor was down, asked if this is ok, yes, then removed the mask from my visor and waved it in the air again testing the waters, no ploplem. From this we learn that carrying a mask can save lives.
And yes sqwiril I do normally remove my helmet, but not in an empty 711 at 11pm for a quickie quart of milk.

Just wear a mask. Dem the rules.
We're only allowed visors from a distance. Close up it has to be a mask.
And wearing a motorbike helmet into a shop has never been acceptable.
^^ They may have been concerned that they were gonna get robbed?
^^^ all that time spent fucking around you could have saved by just wearing a mask properly in the first place.
and do you feel good, putting down a 16 or 17 year old kid who left school at 12 working in 7/11 trying to make ends meet? Does it maker you feel all superior?
Warning: Be cautious if you are a fragile pink
My local 7 stopped temp scans about 2 weeks ago. Back today. Not a moan, just an observation in theme.
My 7 has a self hand temp scanner. It's basically chaos as I'm dancing infront of it.
So half a dozen posters basically say you were being a dick...and you still don't get the message.
In case you and other snipers are still learning to read, the issue wasn't about wearing a helmet but that it was resolved by touching a mask to the visor.
So what you're actually moaning about was that they relented and served you.
By that point they'd probably given up and concluded that...
1) You were too feeble to rob the place (clue about the helmet there...)
and
2) You were so dumb and persistent that the quickest way to get rid of you, and the most effective way to minimise risk, was to just serve you.
Oh dear, the fool is in frenzy mode.
Not a question of 'relenting to serve me', when they saw the mask all was ok. But that's way too complex for you.
Not a question of persistence either, when they saw the mask all was ok. But that's also way too complex for you.
Also not sure what your angle is about robbing the joint, though it says more about what's in your head than mine.
"fuck sake, just let him in so he pisses off, I don't get paid enough to argue with a farang".
Squealing girlies, hope none of them fainted.
So I've got maybe 400 songs on a Spotify playlist and constantly add new ones yet for some reason the algorithm seems to play the same 50 over and over even on random / shuffle.
What the fuck is that about. It has ruined some songs for me.
