I was feeling sorry for myself having over indulged last night and now paying the dues for it before I read this thread and learned of your injuries BLD. Wishing you the best for a speedy and pain-free recovery.
Best of luck BLD.
Was gonna say 'tough break', but seems a bit inappropriate.

That morph was pretty interesting stuff. Looks like it wasn't a green sent from stroller. Was a red. Ya bar steward stroll. Right back at ya coonty
Never been a lager fan but got on the outside of some draft San Mig Light last night. Quite a lot of it as it happens.
Head like a bag of rusty spanners this morning.
Up early for a full English, then a pool session to clear the head.
Cricket and F1 later if I can stay awake.
Heart of Gold and a Knob of butter.
Out of hospital. Covered in bruises and blood spots. That haemorrhagic fever has quite a kick to it.
Taste buds are all shot, can't even stand the taste of water.
^ Mate, wishing you a speedy recovery.
Welcome back, Manaam. Get better soon.
Fell asleep on the couch watching the Tour de France.
2.30 am in the West.
Heard a noise outside ... nah, just a Possum
Heard a louder, stronger noise ... not a Possum.
Sensor lights are on.
Two punks are in my suburban yard.
Farrk. Fight instinct kicks in. Chased them out.
Then think weapon ... but what? Golf Club? Nah. Narrow passage way makes it a poor choice.
Aluminum spirit level, light, strong, about a metre long perfect.
Partners now awake, hands me a torch, the house keys and locks the door after me.
Farrk, wish I'd had a slash before venturing outside.
Tour the neighbourhood. Find their pushbike.
Back to my place, adrenaline is beginning to abate, starting to think more rationally.
Attention to detail returns. Flyscreen on the window has been lifted, but it's Winter here and the window is closed, thus locked.
Cnuts were trying to break-in.
Back inside the house, leave the strategic outside lights on.
Discuss with Partner for 20 mins or so. She's back to bed, but tossing and turning. In for a spoon to comfort her and make her feel secure bla bla.
Almost 2 hours later, still wide awake, she's thankfully asleep. It's going to be a long day ...
^ Phew. You got lucky they fled. Hopefully they won't return if they think they'll get beat. I'd find that experience very unnerving tbh.
I thought I would treat myself to a play in the bookies as I've been good and not had a drink for three days. Big, big mistake. Got fricking rinsed for 60 or 70 Euro. Just got sucked in. Foolish.
Can't sleep either.on the upside the nurses are rather lovely and bed bath time is at 6
^get well soon, bld. Was surprised to see your post so early here.
^get well soon, manaam. Dengue is a b**ch. Still on mosquitos, I've heard of 3 kids in my hometown (elem school age), they died a few weeks ago of Japanese encephalitis. All 3 kids went to the same school. I know the dad of one of those kids. Dad was devastated, as his son (6 y.o) was their only child. Sad state of affairs...
My moan - I've just recovered from my cough & bad throat, then now I have the colds. Immune system is weak & my taste buds are bleh.
