Damn, RIP. A 14 yr old girl fell in front of the school bus when I was 17 and it really messed up her classmates, obviously enough. Seeing her empty chair and posters on the wall etc when school resumed after 2 or 3 days etc.

Speaking of bus crashes and teachers being killed it reminded me of this news story, 22 teachers dead in Chiang Mai.

https://teakdoor.com/teaching-in-thai...nt-chiang.html (13 teachers killed in road accident in Chiang Mai)

12 teachers dead from one school after a bus crash in Mae Sai a few years later.

    Crazy shit.

These pedestrian crossings they got a deal on, great idea but death traps till it sinks in that they're there for people to get from one side of the road to the other unscathed, not for pretty or Thai happy or mosai short cuts to avoid driving to a gap. The one they put up at Rompho yesterday, this morning was like GTA with people crossing like scared rabbits. Invest either in a few lollipop guys till they figure out what these things are or someone with a flame thrower; one might work!

Getting a Thai in a car to stop for someone that isn't, isn't the easiest task in the World.

I'm getting to like those crossings, better than boring black/white back home though the beacons make up for that; might end up saving a few lives if they block off the centre like at Rompho to stop mosais ducking over, but not sure what the gods think might tame through traffic.

A few large glasses of mulled wine puts it all into a jolly fine and relaxed perspective, Chitty. Get on it like ya fookin wantit.

More on the Rompho crossing, the silly buggers have run it from safety halfway across 2nd Road, right into the obstacle course entering the market. Good news is they're opening the gap a few metres along, so the accidents due where they built the crossing will be shifted to there.

You've spoken about this before and I'm confused. Is it a pedestrian over-bridge?

It's a regular pedestrian crossing at Rompho, quite a few installed in Jomtien recently, not sure but probably also in Pattaya where I recently swung sharply into another lane to deter some idiot coming through at speed against a red light while people were crossing.

Forking retards are not dissuaded by pretty road decorations.
