Ok time to call time on that big old painting I was attempting .

Sometimes you just have to put your hand up and admit you’ve ended up with a shit show ,, nothing wrong with any of the materials , just the person using them , basically trying to do something way outside my ability .

As I mentioned before in this piece I was determined to stick 100% with the colour pallete Constable had nothing else , I’ve been round in circles too many times to go any further with it ,, I was going to paint a black dog on one end of the bridge and a boy with a red jacket or similar at the other end , typical of Constable work .

Anyway I will post this abortion up before I sand it down and repaint right over it something completely different


Remember this is a big old boy and when it gets it’s new painting over the top of it I’ll post it with Jan along side to show the scale of it .

Sorry to those of you who have been following waiting to see that one finished .
