Ok time to call time on that big old painting I was attempting .
Sometimes you just have to put your hand up and admit youve ended up with a shit show ,, nothing wrong with any of the materials , just the person using them , basically trying to do something way outside my ability .
As I mentioned before in this piece I was determined to stick 100% with the colour pallete Constable had nothing else , Ive been round in circles too many times to go any further with it ,, I was going to paint a black dog on one end of the bridge and a boy with a red jacket or similar at the other end , typical of Constable work .
Anyway I will post this abortion up before I sand it down and repaint right over it something completely different
Remember this is a big old boy and when it gets its new painting over the top of it Ill post it with Jan along side to show the scale of it .
Sorry to those of you who have been following waiting to see that one finished .
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs
All good.
Heuristic learning stays with you.
Ok we go again on this huge canvas ,, tbh I’ve really lost my mojo at the mo and anything and everything I can’t really be arsed with ,, it’s a shame it’s just not me as I absolutely love every min of my life normally ,, the radiographers had a chat with me Friday asking how different bits of my body were performing on day 17 of my treatment and they nodded and smiled knowingly and then told me your spot on and doing very well .
Also told me I’d been a pleasure to work with and they’ve enjoyed me making them laugh in the theatre .
So the swan and it’s littluns say goodbye as they forever dissapear under 2 coats of burnt umber and Titainium white
What’s the plan for the next time?
oh and keep getting well, mate.
The plan for the next one that I shall be starting this week Wills is to re create a large version of one of my own original paintings done at Dedham plus a few additions along the way .
Feeling a lot more positive this Monday morning after a 2 day break off the radio , I don’t want to sound like a drama queen but at the end of the week after daily sessions it’s nice to get a break on Saturday and Sunday as the build up of the weeks side effects can be quite horrendous ,, only another 4 weeks to go ,, thanks for your continued support .
A bit of an update from last week the lovely radiographer girls told me I’m doing excellent with the treatment and after the last dose is given then in about 15 more days new cells should begin to grow and the side effects will gradually dissapear
I like these two paintings, Nigel.
Have you showed them here before?
