    Taking a break

    Dear Forum

I live alone and am renting.

Is there a requirement on the landlord to report when I am not staying in the house? By this I mean trip to Bangkok or a short trip elsewhere in Thailand.

When I go to stay at a hotel they require some form to be completed including departure card number. I can't remember if an address is required as well?

    Hope you are keeping well,

    All the Best

Yes, an address is often required, but I reckon you can put in anything.

    No, I don't believe so.

It is only the big hotels that require this information.
Go any where stay any where.
Outside of Bangkok is good 4 years now & no body has asked me who are you
    where I live.

Your landlord is required to submit a TM30 form which reports that an alien is staying in his house.
The TM30 from only has to be submitted once.

Your post is misleading and inaccurate,
ALL hotels should report daily who is staying there.
If you want to point to the rules then quote the legal requirements don't say what you can get away with.

They always have rules & they do not tell you all the rule.
With A non B visa they tell you have to go to an Embassy out side Thailand
This is not true you can obtain this inside Thailand.
You can not transfer a work permit.
    This is not true.
You can only work for 1 company, not true you can legally work for 2 companies

If the land lord is lazy so what it is no problem

I am trying to determine what the landlady is supposed to do. She began asking me but I didn't understand. I think she was making reference to the Tabian Baan.

    Hope you are keeping well,

The landlady should submit a TM30 form.
    That's all.

    Dear Thetyim.

    That's clear, thanks.

I have been here two years so presume the TM30 has been submitted.

I will just forget it if it's important she'll get on to me somehow.

    Hope you are keeping well,

    All the Best
