    Want something a little racier?
Get on one of these 5th or 6th generation drillships working in 10K ft. of H2O. Heh...the fun never stops...

Your heading in the right direction then, next stop will be double rigs, then triples, then quads, then maybe you will be able to get on the 'Big' rigs offshore

If you have at least 1 3/4'' Drlg line should be able to set a reasonable casing with that?
You should be thankful to the Offshore Elite with our high dayrates for developing Heavy duty equipment for you landdies.
Ref your query about automatic 'ass wipers', do you want a price for the full system c\w hot air dryer, or the standard model which requires some end user manual interaction?

    Yes
can't watch video etc rightfully so, in our best interests - blocked..........

As we are drilling HTHP well - at 7300m (whats an 'mts') at around 300m hour with 19 ppg mud, poor time management, I know, but dont have the time you have As we are also experiencing a force 9 gale and having to fine tune Dynamic positioning to stay on location

Have no problems out here in the Mediterranean.Have five vessels in the field two are DP2, two are DP3 (Dynamic Positioning 1,2,3.) with all the whistles and bells and one Surfer for transportation between the Drilling Platform and the FPSO, then again maintaining position is not a problem this time of year due to the weather, wind and tidal conditions.
Its a different ball game in winter though!!

The weather here came in bad we had to swing the 4x4s into a circle as the wind came up and was blown sand on the BBQ maybe we will have better luck tomorrow

Yeh 1.5m/hr bit is balled to fok but town think it will pick up after 50 more meters. We should have pulled this bit days ago and run a tri cone, O well I am out of here in 4 days so I guess I wont see any casing.

He does live in the UK but he's after coming over here. Ive no idea where the work is but he wants to be based in Thailand or this area and work from here, think its a lot to ask without any experience but he's willing to give it a go.

The problem will be getting a decent rotation no matter how he goes about it. Most expats are on the supervisory side of the operation especially in the Far East. Starting at the lower end of the scale you need to gain supervisory experience in your chosen field.
It can probably be done but he will need a lot of luck and a lot of help to step onto the supervisory ladder with no experience.
Let me put it this way you have two CV,s on your desk one is from a guy wanting a start offshore with no experience? the second guy has 10 years supervisory experience in Oil and Gas Operations which one are you going to pick? It doesn,t come down to personalities and who you like or is he your friend 99 times out of a hundred the experienced guy will get the nod as there is less risk.

Well try doing it while staying afloat at the same time. Land guys are wimps!

Be nice now! must be tough drilling a hole on land when you have nothing else to think about apart from that, logistics must be a nightmare, no subsea calculations, tides to worry about, if there is a problem you could have to walk at least a 100 yards away, not to mention you only have a third of the equipment to look after, no wonder they have time for FUN!
Crew changes must be a nightmare too!
Yeah, I feel sorry for 'em too. No drive-off's to worry about. No stacks & riser to run. No tensioner cables and associated gear to take care of. Must be rough...
