    Australia

Anyone out there that can answer this, I would be grateful:

Does anyone know whether or not being a [minority] shareholder in a non-publicly listed Australian company would give you free [unlimited stay] movement in and out of Aus (i.e., can I stay a year, two years, etc.)?

Also, can you partake in the affairs and management of the company (being located in Aus; thus, at a guess "working")?

If so, what is the minimum capital investment required (I hear it is Aus$100,000 - but that could well be wrong)?

    * All the above obviously applies to a person who is neither Aussie nor, currently, has a visa for Aus (as I assume an Aussie would have no problems with this )

    Cheers

    ~W~

i dont think its automatic - you still need to apply for residency etc however, it helps the approval process (eg60 points or whatever the scale is)

^I heard something along those lines - but I was told 50. Unfortunately 50 would likely not be enough Told 60 would be the minimum I would need from "work" point of view...

I cannot believe that a hair-dresser gets 60 points - what a waste of my youth

Oh dear, this is not lookinh good at all

    Being overweight

Being overweight is not in itself likely to lead to failure to meet the health requirement. If the applicant is assessed as being obese, related medical conditions will be explored. These include diabetes, heart disease (including hypertension) and arthritis. Such conditions may mean that the applicant is assessed as not meeting the health requirement.

^ You're a bag of bones, so I wouldn't worry about that (unless you're thinking of taking me along ).
