Structural blocks

I will need to build a small 'shed' in a month or three and I was going to do it myself as and when funds allow. I think using blocks would be the simplest solution with the preformed concrete floor panels for the ceiling.

How much are these blocks?

What brands are generally used?

What's the Thai name?

In what sizes do the concrete floor panels come in and how much are they?

I think that covers it for now...

Using concrete floor panels for the roof is an expensive way to go, they are 30cms wide and whatever length you want.
For the walls qcon blocks are the easiest and quickest, 60cm by 20cm blocks around 20baht each, although ordinary breeze blocks are 3.5baht each and probably not the best things to learn how to lay bricks.

I didn't think Q-Con would take a load?

The panels are not for the roof, just the ceiling, and I have laid bricks before.

ahh, you mean cement board, 8 foot by 4 foot, probably less than 200baht each, for a small building qcon would work, I assume your not going for planning permission or anything like that, just need to stick plenty of ties in the corner blocks, 90 degree bent up rebar would work fine.

Concrete board, 4x8 ft 175 baht
Concrete block 2.5 to 3.5 baht, depending on qty. bought

If you're looking to build something like this, I'll give you materials list/quantities. 4mx4mx3m high concrete block walls on a 0.15m slab foundation.

Not a bad idea. Could call it Norton's slave quarters.

Knowing Marmite, I figure he wants something cheap and easy to house his motorcycle and store a few tools. This could be an over design given his budget which has yet to be revealed. If this is close to what he wants can give him quantities so he can go and get prices.

The reason I am thinking of pre-made concrete flooring slabs for the ceiling is because it will have a lightweight tin roof to keep the sun and rain off it.

I am confused with your use of the term premade concrete ceiling. Not even sure why you want a ceiling? You can build a concrete block building enclosure with a concrete slab floor, put in some rafters (wood or steel), then attach a corrugated tin or composite roofing material on it. There will be no leaks if it's done properly. Just leave the "ceiling" open. Will see the rafters from the inside but so what. If you want a ceiling, use gypsum or something they call sa-mart board up here.
