So design one. No one's stopping you. It's just not a requirement.

Hi guys

I had some time to make a first sketch. This would be the kind of "volume sketch" I would give an architect to design a beautiful house.

The volumes are about the same as Humbert has shown in his design. The orientation is chosen to avoid to much heating from the evening sun. All pics show the situation for Bangkok, 21. July at 3 PM.

The "flying" flat roof allows a modern style but done not transfer the heat into the building. The large roof eaves should shade the wall most of the time. Nevertheless some additional (vertical) shading devices are suitable against the low evening and morning sun.

The first building towards the street would be a kind of "public" or utility building with the car port, a maid room, storage or a meeting room etc.

The building in the back is the "private" building with family room, bedrooms etc.

The garden between should allow to relax in privacy.

PS: I was not able to upload my pics to the forum gallery. I didn't find any button or link (MacOS with Safari). Hoping the links from Google Picasa will work...

This is my second idea for a plot with different orientation.

Generally there are the same ideas as in the first one, this time with a more closed garden with a long narrow pool and waterfalls from the "privacy wall".

Good one J....looks interesting....now you need the floorplans etc.

Do not be embarrassed about using whats around you to draw on....I do.

In fact, if you could make me look good....I would appreciate it.
