I went to their website but the locations are very small and mostly in Thai but they obviously have a lot of locations so likely one somewhere nearby me in Bangkok, I would like to check them out..
Think there is any chance they have a counter thread 10mm nut there? I need one for an electric fan motor..

Ok, well you are going beyond household plumbing and into industrial and commercial installations (for Thailand). You are spot on teflon tape by itself is only adequate for basic applications. For more difficult domestic applications teflon tape and pvc solvent cement will adequately seal galvaized iron, brass or pvc threads at a less cost than the 800 baht per 50ml of "teflon thread seal", which requires an overnight express order from Bangkok. So as not to digress from the subject of this thread

I hope I NEVER have to hang any doors again so the plane I got for 700 baht was just the job. Like you, I treat Chinese tools as a something that won't last but will do the jobs you have in hand. The cheap drill I got in a sale at Big C has worked well for 3 years and has way surpassed expectations and I have saved a few thousand baht. To anybody contemplating spending a lot of money on quality tools I have one piece of advice........ keep them locked up and out of the hands of your relatives or they won't be quality tools for long !! Finaly, its worth remembering that a lot of brand name goods are made in China. Cameras a a good example. Not everything Chinese is crap .....( just most of it ).
You have taken the typing right out from under my fingers.

no I'm not, why shouldn't you do a plumbing job correctly just because it's your house?? I plumbed this way for 20 years as a professional on literally thousands of houses and still do...
Teflon tape is not adequate it's just what has been used, there is a difference.. That's a cop out very much like most Thai's claim "no need".. It requires too much Teflon tape by itself to make the seal and splits PVC fittings and metal ones corrode and there are more locations than just Bangkok but obviously you're feeling belittled by your lack of knowledge on the topic and seeking a way to save face. So fine with me..
    So defensive, are you British?....

Do you know why you use Teflon and not the Loctite you're link lists? Unless it is the same Teflon equivalent that Loctite manufactures? It's because Teflon is universal and does not conflict with other substances such as certain gases and compounds like cycolac plastics which crack when exposed to it, basically it's more idiot proof and better for the amateur who can't differentiate from these...

Don't want to use it? Fine don't, but I posted it up for those who wish to do a professional job on any of their future gas or plumbing applications..My original post was neither directed towards you nor anyone but a post in general terms, jaysus those Brits are so uptight..

It seems " don't feed the trolls" applies to Teak Door as well.

In keeping with the thread subject, these guys:

Just Tools Australia - Tool Specialist in Power & Cordless Tools, Hand & Air Tools

offer pretty good service for tools and other nicknak items, if you can't find them at the corner store.

BTW, I have NO country but I live here, at the moment.
