then we have the 'Tung' oil experiment.....I like the end look of this tung oil stuff, brings up a great looking finish.

Then we have the thatched roof, here is the thickness of the thatch when you lay it close together, should last longer, just not sure how much longer.
If you look at the bali thatch buildings you will see they lay it basically on top of each other, no gap and the thickness is even more than I have. Think it lasts a lot longer.
Also th pitch of the roof accounts for a lot and how quick the water sheds off of the roof or gets a chance to sit around and soak in.

Vegemite???
That's the tasteless version of Marmite for wimps isn't it.....
Roof looks good, not chance of leaks.
No leaks yet, slept under it during storms twice now....just blows in through the windows.
As for vegemite.....well, we have not had any for months now and there is a jar of marmite sitting in the fridge.....nobody will touch it, even as desperate as we are.
Dog won't even eat it and she loves a bit on toast.
We'll eat it when we come visit, we're tough enough.
My kids will rough yours up as well....
How does end of October sound?
You are not in Los and faced with torrential downpours, 100% humidity, chickens running riot, bugs the size of rabbits and general complete fuckups and the like.
Knobs, sounds good, wait till the rains ease a little and the river is more reliable to be clear and calm. we went swimming yesterday, the boy got sucked downstream via the new floodgate and i had to go rescue him, then i got washed down.
You're only gettin 2 jars mate.Originally Posted by Nawty
