OK. I've added an extra bedroom on the back along with 2 bathrooms.
I can stick with the flat roof or go with a shallow pitched roof with the apex above the wall the separates the 'extension' from the 'existing house'.

hi splitlid
have emailed you my plans. taken with a phone camera so it might not be so clear.
do let me know if you require any clarification.
thanks for the generosity and time taken![]()
hi wanna,
the pics turned out great but , to save me time, i really need them in either PDF format or DWG, your architect will have them and would be able to send them to you via email,
as they are i cannot trace house direct, and would have to spend hours just getting dimensions etc, by continueously refering back to your pics.

i see
ok will try to get them asap and mail to you.
thanks![]()

No, that's nicer than I had in mind.Originally Posted by splitlid
Are those roof overhangs really 2 metres? Look like 1 metre to me.
the overhang is 1m. except on the left side of the extension which is 2m.

Can I have 2m all round except at the apex please?
ok heres with 2m all the way around.

^ That's better, but can I ask you to change the roof to a standard one ( ^ ) as that style will be too hot and cost too much for me?
Thanks.

ok wanna have recieved thanks,
marmite heres it with normal roof and 2m overhang.
hi Wanna,
a few details are incorrect on you plans,
the first i have noticed are the small windows are not the same as they are in elevations.
please get the architect to update his elevations.
on the floor plan pictured the top elevation shows the small windows as being 4,2,2,4,2. but the actual elevation shows 4,3,4,2
and 3 window should only be 1.05m high not higher than the others.
the right elevation(floorplan) shows the small windows as being 2,3,2. but the actual evevation shows 2,2
the big window on both elevations is correct.
hope this makes sense

hi splitlid
i understand some of the windows are off by a few cm. top elevation should actually be 4,2',2',4,2 (2' being 1.35m). right elevation 2,3,2 is correct
would you be able to proceed based on what is provided?
(i mean give or take a few cm of window height is ok, just want to have a general feel of what the house would look like in 3d with the materials chosen)![]()
ok next one is the roof slab extrudes on one elevation but not on another.
hi wanna, its not just a few centimeters, theres windows in there which dont exist in the elevations, no.3 doesnt even exist and is 1 meter out in height!!!.
i dont really care, im just telling you so your aware, so when your builder does it wrong you know why.get the architect to do it right if you can or there will be missunderstandings for sure.
what is the material used for the outer walls?
do you have a pic of what it is?
cheers

yes the roof slab should NOT extrude for this portion

Sorry to be a pain, but I wanted the angle of the roof the same as it the first recent one you rendered for me. Also, the roof should have 2 planes not 4 (like the first one again).Originally Posted by splitlid

ok wanna good,
heres the first

wow that was fast
1. the 2 small windows besides the main door should be at 1.25m and not 1.9m
2. the 2 main pillars are wood and should come with bench and stair railings, sort of like this:
and this:
just that the pillars are round and not square. the rails are round but the design of the rail handles is slightly different
3. the wood pillars extend below the platform and only about 5cm of concrete base is visible below the pillars.
4. all footings? are covered in granite wallstone and not pink
5. the ground slopes dramatically away from the wood pillar and 3m of footings is visible below the bedroom balcony
6. thickness of the cement on the bedroom balcony and front porch is 10cm
7. the 2 steps leading up the front porch are not "solid" but follow the shape of the steps
8. material for the floors of the front porch and bedroom balcony is tumbled or flamed granite, ie not smooth granite. 60cm x 60cm or 30cm x 60cm, color similar to this:
last but not least, thanks![]()
