Yes I am serious. The amount of shit that flys around here in the rainy season is too much. Sorry I live in Buriram Province out in the boonies as they say in Land of the free.

Is this salt water thing just like a softening system, if so you'll need to put more salt in that 3 times a year?

Thats them the one I have details on is much nicer laid out and it is basically a formation of a natural pond and filter system of reeds, grasses, sand and rocks etc then into the pond, then the pool is built within that pond and the water flows between the 2. Excellent concept but needs a much larger area to do it.

No different to the farm ponds I used to swim in as a youngster really, just adapted for a home use.

As for 'softening' no idea really, all I know is the salt turns to chlorine from the electrolysis gizmo and this chlorine is much better, softer than the other commercial throw it in yourself chlorine. Come for a swim if ya want....better be quick but as it is sold and due for transfer soon.

You have a salt water pool and still need chlorination

so why not have a freshwater system?
    Khun Dr,

As you probably understand and know full well,

really, I had no idea that a saltwater pool was freshwater. I have been in real saltwater pools, fed from boreholes, that were distinctly salty.

anyway, thanks for the info, interesting

one ionisation system no prices though

    this has prices
not too bad considering the very low need for chlorine

Well, luckily I didn't have any tortoises on me at the time...

The confusion re the salt/chlorine issue is that the chlorinator pumps the water after the filter through an 'electrolytic' cell, I believe it is a metal (dunno what kind of metal, maybe alloy, lloks like alloy) that is electricaly charged. When we started the system up, we emptied 4 large bags of salt into the pool, this salt passes the chlorinator and turns to chlorine, but for whatever reason it is better, milder than the chlorine you all know that is thrown into a normal chlorine pool.

The result is the water is softer, it does not have a chlorine smell and it does not sting the eyes etc, the pool tastes salty a little bit, not like seawater at all. It is much better than chlorine traditional pools.

I hope the next system of just freshwater is even better.

RP65....my house contractor built the pool, we bought the materials
    The pool looks OK
& the talk is cr p
You can use ozone, UV light & salt water chlorination But you still have to use chlorine
They will reduce the amount of chlorine that you use.
If you smell chlorine in your swimming pool then you have to much chlorine
iI your eyes are burning then your PH IS TO HIGH that means acidity there is to much acid in the swimming pool this is why it is burning you.
You would think that if some thing was burning your eyes & body Geesssss
    Maybe there is a problem.
