Thread: Logs

This probably doesn't deserve a thread....

Not far from where I live there is a mysterious sort of construction site. No telling what they are building, but it is right on the main highway to Bangkok.

A few weeks ago I noticed that within the construction site are dozens and dozens of these big logs:



Now, I can't imagine how they would use these as is in any sort of construction project, so I assume that they are just hiding out there.

I went in to take a photo this morning and got some of the meanest stares I've ever seen when wielding my camera.

So, I snuck around the other side and quickly snapped the shot above.

Didn't we read about hiding logs in an industrial estate just a few weeks ago?
I think DD posted it in the news section.

Could the site be the building of a saw mill or timber merchant ? The logs are probably being dried prior to being turned into lumber. Only a theory.

There is a site between Phrae and Nan which sometimes holds logs.

Occasionally there is an auction to sell of them off

If they have a government stamp then maybe they will be used for the building. maybe

I have eight logs hiding in my place in CM waiting for the construction to start; all have the stamp and were bought legally.

Hi all, i have 1 of the stamps! if any one need help stamping logs get in touch rob stamp came with land/trees i bought!

Think your right. The foundation looks pretty substantial. Suitable to support heavy saw mill equipment and lumber stacks.

I just checked yesterday and they have started milling the logs. The building itself is still at the foundation stage, but now there is plenty of cut lumber sitting around. I'll try and sneak another photo.

no log stamp was part of the deal,yes other people were keen on getting it!! seriously if anyone in area needs logs stamping then get in touch
