I have a Toy Loodle ready to penetrate if you need it Chitty
This thread seems to have taken an unexpected direction!
Just ordered 4 old school mouse traps as Micky is still evading capture.
#pray4micky
I had a rat in my kitchen a few years ago and tried all kinds of traps.
1. Poison - the rats wouldn't eat it.
2. Sticky trap - it worked, but then I was left with a panicking rat thrashing about. I live in Bangkok, so there is no convenient forest to release it, also it was stuck to the glue! I told my wife to kill it and dispose of the body. She was disturbing efficient at doing this!
3. Bucket of water with a stick taped over it and the tube of a toilet paper on the stick. The rats were supposed to be attracted to some peanut butter on the cardboard tube which would then roll over and dump them in the water. My rats were apparently gifted acrobats that ate the peanut butter and danced away freely afterwards.
4. A friend had a kitten she wanted to get rid of. The rats ran out of the house in a blind panic the first time they head her meow. We've been rat-free ever since.
my house backs onto a small stream and we get them in the roof of the extension every now and then. tried sealing it up but they always get in, but never the house proper.
used a glue trap in the old house and got a gecko stuck on it, this attracted about 6 baby rats
wasnt a pleasent morning
we won it at wemberlee
we on it in gay paree...
They don't come off the sticky traps... That's the point.
We put a couple of them down with a pork ball in the middle. And then in the morning you dump the sticky trap plus the mice stuck on it into a bucket of water for a while before dumping it into a neighbour's bin.
I'd like to see what morning looks like
Don't wanna drink pint after pint
I wanna wake up without feeling sick
But I can't cuz I'm a drug-abusing alcoholic
Didn't fancy drowning them after being stuck on the glue trap, or in the metal cage.
Glue tray or metal cage into a black bin bag, spray of mozzie killer, tied up airtight, and next to the bin of the neighbour we didn't like.
The heavy artillery has just arrived, no more Mr Nice Guy...
^ humane as in a quick despatch.
What's that pic all about Lulu?
BREAKING NEWS : Micky has not taken the bait and four traps are still untriggered!
Eldest had a great idea about getting a bigger pit and putting the traps in the bottom so that Micky would fall onto them setting of the finale chain reaction.
^Good idea. Put some sharpened staves in between the traps just to lessen the odds of escape.
Glue paper is the way to go. Then dump it in the bin.
