Noticed Boon Mee's unit gets plenty of air underneath the unit, as well; that would help a lot with evening 'cooling'.

I haven't due to waiting on this over-booked welder whose done such excellent work for me so far. Believe I'll scout around for another fitter as the rainy season is here and water is blowing thru the windows if we forget to close them.
Will update this thread as work progresses.
A Deplorable Bitter Clinger
Good on ya
Good on ya Boon Mee.
I converted a 10 metre freezer unit on 4 wheels into a mobile home hat I towed around.
It was divided into 3 metres of bedroom, containing a big doulev bed with storage unde rat the front end of the unit, with enough space to fit in a small wardrobe, bedside unit and then shelves above the bed ends, (with wall and sliding door),........ the rest was half kitchen area by the back door, the rest was living area, book case, skall desk, shelves up the walls, no windows except where the old freezer unit fitted at the front, door at the back.
Ambient temperature was 10 degrees C at ground levell front, rising to 15C at the entrance door at rear.
Two inch styrofoam insulation all round, so temperatures were easily maintained at an acceptable constant range.
I never needed a heating or cooling system......this in NZ, temps. from (Sth Island) -5C< 30C (Nth Island).
Best and cheapest home conversion unit (mobile home) I ever had.
Total cost, including DIY conversion was NZ $3,000, (1998 prices).
