Thread: DVD Writing Problem

Hope this is the right place to post this.
I am having problems writing DVD disks. This started last week. Every time I try making a DVD I get part way through the process and the computer automatically shuts down. I have tried using Cyber link Power Producer and Windows DVD Maker and get the same problem with both programmes. I am using Windows 7.

Does anyone know what causes this?

Do you mean a proper shutdown? Or a crash?

Have you looked in the Application and System Event logs to see if there are any obvious errors?

I got no idea but the first thing I would check is that the DVD has the latest driver

The first thing I would do is find out if it's "automatically shutting down" or going tits up.
