    DDR3 memory

Can anybody tell me what the cost of 8GB of DDR3 memory currently costs in LOS.

And while I'm at it what does a 1 [ONE] SATA TetraByte HDD come in at?

And also the cost of: A 'Genuine' Windows 7 Professional OS retail for in the LOS.

No! I am serious, what is the price of a legitimate Windows 7 Professional OS in the LOS?

I am surprised it is so expensive. An OEM pro version goes for app. 3000 baht here = 67 Euro. A non OEM is much more expensive but who needs it?

you can't buy separately OEM version if you already own a PC, it's for new PC only, so a RETAIL is all you can buy officially and legally if you own the PC already and don't intend to buy a new one

OEM sold with new PC only are part of the VOLUME license policy of MS

this is true for GENERIC OEM or BRANDED OEM
Bollocks, you can buy OEM with a hardware change.

There are no legal restrictions in Germany. You can buy OEM without anything going with it.

Yeah but you lads shit on each other chests without recourse..........

in the sensible world a hardware change is the go, can be as simple as a new stick of ram.
Windows likes RAM, and it's faster than accessing a disk or SSD.

I run Win7 on my netbook without a pagefile, on 2Gb RAM. Works fine for watching movies, surfing t'interwebnet and mail, which is about all I do when I'm travelling.

Beats the living shit out of XP.

For service and quality - you will not get much better than the Thai Visa linked IT link - Invade IT, yes you might get a few Baht cheaper dealing with dodgy locals.

If you want value for money and a good bunch of guys to deal with, look no further - No, I have nothing to do with them, I in fact posted quite a bit of nasty stuff about them when they first started - their server was simply overloaded!

I have shopped with them on a few occaisions, they have reccomended me alternatives that were better than my original request for a better price.

Delivery is first class - their products are great.

I have bought hard drives (1TB Seagates), Video cards, RAM, disks - they have all you would need - check them out on TV - look for a guy called Thomas Skyum, if I got that correct - he will sort you out no problem!

Credit where credit is due - these guys are pretty damn good!
