Firewall/NAT (TCP) reachability problem - no Green smilies on Vuze.

I cannot seem to get Green smilies on Vuze, so maybe nobody can see all the torrents I'm seeding.
I have been working on this problem now for a couple of weeks but to date cannot resolve it.
I've got a red Firewalled sign down in the bottom right hand corner, clicking on it it states:
Firewall/NAT (TCP) reachability problem. Refer to Wiki for help.
Finally when I click on a torrent to upload these days, two things happen, it either tales forever to come up on Downloads and action, or it simply doesn't come at all. This in Firefox 3.17 Downloads.
    I'm using Win7 32 bit.
    Under NAT/ Server Port
Incoming TCP Listen Port 56789 - Test
Result Binding serversSocket failed as no compatible addresses are available, please check your bind -to-IP settings.
56789 into your test on CanYouSeeMe
Error I could not see your service on 49.48.nnn.nn on port(56789)
    Reason: Connection timed out

I had the same problem with Utorrent with the 'green tick', it would keep turning off and on.
I struggled with it for about a year, then bought a new modem.
    Problem disappeared completely.

^ I have that problem, it's red now, and says a firewall/router is limiting your network traffic, but i'm still downloading a TV show at 350 kb/s so I aint too bothered

If you have a low spec modem/router then it cannot handle the amount of traffic needed to do torrents.
When I changed my modem/router my download speeds nearly doubled and the green tick was always on.

it is a ram issue - torrents require connections , and default configs leave them open and waiting for periods of time though with a torrent it has likely dropped at the other end thus the connection numbers escalate over time to finally overwhelm what limited memory your modem has
