Missing Images - Can anyone help?

When attempting to either forward images in an e-mail or cut and paste them into an e-mail, they are not able to be viewed by the recipient. This is has only started occurring recently, is anyone able to help out?
I use Firefox 3.6 as a browser and G-mail as my mail server.

I don't know about forwarding, but when sending using Gmail, use the Attach option to insert the image file into the message.

Are you using the Gmail web interface, or something else? What OS?

There's a difference between dragging and dropping local files and dragging external links. Perhaps the latter are the problem.

Maybe he needs to install flash

    Advanced attachment features

If you have Flash enabled on your computer, you can attach multiple files to a message simultaneously. Here's how it works:
    1. Click Attach a file
    2. Select as many files as you'd like (hold down the Ctrl key as you click to select multiple files)
    3. Click Open
You'll see a progress bar next to each file, indicating whether it's finished uploading.

If at any point you'd like to change your attachment uploading settings (i.e. turn the simultaneous uploading and progress bars on or off), you can do so on the General tab of the Settings page. If you run into an error message when attaching files to your messages, make sure you've got the latest version of Flash.

    Embedded images

Many Thanks to those who have taken the time to post an answer to my problem.

I have no problems in sending or opening attachments sent, it is purely, when embedding an image in an e-mail, or forwarding an e-mail with an embedded image.

On investigating further on g-mail, it appears that there is a known issue with this (why they have not been able to remedy this is beyond me !).

I have started to use an e-mail provider called Zoho, to forward images, and so far have found no problems.

    Once again, Thanks.
