    computer advice

    hi all, bit of technical advice needed, just started to download from bbc iplayer, problem is after a little while the computer goes into automatic shutdown and i lose what i was trying to download, how can i stop this, all replies appreciated, cheers

    In Windows 7 go to Control Panel (Choose large icon view), Power Options, Change Plan Settings and change "Put Computer to Sleep" to "Never".

    user settings, turn off hibernation and check that computer is on all the time.

    Start - Control Panel - Power options - Power schemes - Always on/Never turn off hard discs/system standby never - Hibernate/uncheck box
