Thats better than what I can get in Nonthaburi just on the edge of Bangkok, and TOT says I can't upgrade. 3BB seems to come well recommended

Another thing about 3BB....dosen't seem to slow down much in the afternoon, and in 3 months....down once. Not like tot.... down at least 4 times a week, and when i check....they say everything's ok. Getting over 400 dnld speed......of course, some sites are busier than others.

JJ I am just down the road from you with exactly the same internet connection.

Why not give me a call on Skype to see how good/bad it is.

I'm not doing video cos I 'm hungover today

With Linux, at skyoe connection, few problems:
    1. when place call volume will be set to 0, so once other side answer g up with sound and works...

    2. When other side speaks to loud if microphone fully up, it will cut after first sound, put mic lower and speak not to loud that it does not cut.

    With windows :

    1. Mic recording is dropping this last days ! Open the mic and sound setting from control panel and as you speak, see the mic level drop after each word until 0...
Place up again and it will after each word go down again, so solution is keep mic setting open and after each word place mic up a bit again... Aney better solution out there?

I am further out than yourself, close to Outer Ringroad in Pathum Thani and have an "alledged" 8Mbps with TOT Home and a quick speedtest shows 6.98 DL / 0.45 UL.

Using Skype V 4.2.0.169 without any problems and I am also running my torrents 24/7.

Don't allow it to automatically set its own levels. There's a tick box in Tools> Settings> Audio
