Thread: Sound Driver Help Needed

Can anyone recommend a solution?

After reinstalling windows I lost my sound drivers which i have been unable to install.

I have downloaded AC97 Realtek which seems to install correctly but doesn't show in the 'sound devices' properties in control panel. The location installed is in program files.

I have reinstalled numerous times now but still have the same issue. I have also ran the DXdiag which suggests there is no sound drivers.

What am i doing wrong? And is the installation location correct (Program files)
