    Question Quicktime for PC???

A client of mine would like to have his finished product on a USB stick as well as a dvd so he can show sponsors etc...

I'm a MacTard and not a very techno-savvy one at that - now if Quicktime works on his PC laptop, fine - but he's never heard of it and from what I can Google there's no Quicktime download options for PC and he wouldn't have a clue how to do it anyway.

How could I compress the c ompleted i-movie project into a format his shitty Windows laptop understands? As far as I know, Quicktime is the only option for Mac and only the compression settings can be adjusted.

    Cheers.

QuickTime is available for Win, but nobody use it because it's such a huge pile of crap. A lot of QT opensource alternatives too on the PC.

Try to save in Real format, even Mactards have that on their computer

WMV is also available on Macs so you can save directly into Windows Media player 8

If you had PC and I gave you a Quicktime file, would you be able to play it if you asked some of your PC savvy mates what to do?

i.e. He can sort this out himself, because I've already done the job at a fraction of the cost and only because it benefits the Foundation For The Blind Thailand.

Couldn't he download it from YouTube anyway?

Fuck this shit, he can figure it out.

tell him to download VLC portable from portableapps.com and put it on his USB stick with the movie , it will then allow him to play on any windows pc

you could also burn a DVD with VLC portable + the movie on it

klite codec pack also installs quicktime alternative if it is just to install on a win pc
If you torture data for enough time , you can get it to say what you want.

you shouldn't charge him for that, should be included in your fee. It only takes CPU processing time, not Scampy processing time which stands at 0% idle most of the time
