    Free Phonecalls from Thailand

Well, the first 10 minutes are free, seems the rest of the time the charge is 2.1cents per minute.
The plans start from $7.50 per month and give you 400 minutes to 40 countries, many include mobile phone numbers and landlines so maybe worth it to some of you, mobivox.com

VOIP fones seem to be the actual great stuff, pay small fee for as much use as you need, such as you state above for example, different providers for different areas, have a near normal home station, PC is off but modem is on...

I use www.deedial.com it costs me 85 stang a minute to America. It always works and has a call back function so you do not even pay for the call from your cell phone.

I usually get 10% more free time when I top up as well. You can register over the net and then pay at 7/11

I use Jajah.com very good with mobiles and free to some places if you listen to 30sec ads. They provide local numbers for your overseas contacts as well so you don't always need the internet.
