This guys is FUNNY! Really, he is - especially when he makes these funny assumptions.

You probably have a DVD or two that I worked (including my credits), on your shelf (or, desk, if your shelf fell down). Like I said -- You Are F.U.N.N.Y.

So, please, enlighten us about the how 'Region Coding' affects a DVD that you are sending to Asia or Europe, particularly if the DVD you burn you is done Region Free?

Or maybe what you actually meant was the difference between the NTSC system (USA), as well as PAL / SECAM resolutions, and making sure that the DVDs can be read on players of the different TV systems, and thus the different resolutions? (which is not the same as 'region code') - you just need to set Toast's preferences to 'NTSC' or 'PAL' (no one cares about SECAM anymore) before you encode and burn, and I'll bet Scampy didn't do that, of course.

Weird - my Mac takes 45 minutes to encode a DVD, and burn it.

Maybe your MAC comes from a different planet, where they use all CAPS.

Well you care enough to keep posting in Mac threads..

I'm curious though why you use the word 'substandard'. Is it the OS, because MS isn't exactly known for its willingness to adhere to standards, if it can't squash them it introduces kludges to get around them. Take a look at IE sometime. Is it the hardware? You and others are so keen to point out is the same as that in PCs nowadays. Except Mac users don't have to deal with outdated concepts such as a BIOS.

Perhaps it's the iPhone that is wildly popular or the wireless keyboard that even BF admitted to liking and buying?

If you don't even own one why are you attacking them?

nope not worthless at all, in the graphics intense environment that is the print industry they performed well (at that time).

But in this day and age where they are touted as being superior to PC's due to the user friendliness of them i shake my head at the repeated threads of useless numpties who buy the things on this premise of being user friendly only to experience the wrath of the apple monopoly and discover that they aint all that user friendly if your not tech savvy.

PC's on the other hand offer the average user/consumer at lot easier to use option that is financially more viable (ironic as both platforms basically use the same hardware these days) and has decent software support from third parties that "justs get the job done"... look at this thread, it has taken hours to perform a very basic task that could/can be performed in a poofteenth of the time on a "lesser" machine.

I disagree, they have gay and pretty computer cases, and that is a plus, and it's costly

Agree, so much for idiot proof. They are simply made for idiots who are too stupid anyway to make it to the PC.

You are, apparently, making a career out of proclaiming from on high how little you know -- which, in itself, is quite funny -- but I am going to follow Wallalai's lead, and just dump you back into 'ignore' - since it's quite obvious that, at this point, you're just making stuff up in your usual extremely desperate attempt for attention. You and Scampy both seem to suffer from neglectful childhoods. Pity, really.

    Buh bye!

You're not too good with reading comprehension, are you?

Oh, wait, you're a relic of the printing industry -- 'nuff said

Here, let me fix that for you:

.... it has taken a complete idiot hours to perform a very basic task that could/can be performed in a poofteenth of the time by anyone else...
I'll assume that you would be equally befuddled by the same task, since you are mentioning some '3 hour' time figure to achieve basically a 45 minute task.

I'll leave you and Butterfly now to explore each others' gayness. Enjoy!

Where did i say it takes me 3 hours to complete a task you can do in 45 minutes ??

For what its worth, i can re-encode an .avi file to .vob and have it playing in my dvd player in less than 30 minutes, this is a wank though as i can live stream them over my WiFi instantly so i generally leave the re-encoding/burning process for those times that someone wants a movie that i may have in storage.

Run along now little boy, go play with your mac.

It's telling how you apply everything said to yourself - and how you appear to be having memory problems :-(
