I have been getting disconnected a lot the last couple of days. I'm using CAT CDMA MERLIN X 720 modem. I don't know if its our system messing up , or CAT CDMA.
Anyone experiencing this.

I use it here in Roiet. No problems. Might be a microwave repeater problem in your area. What is your signal strength? 1, 2, 3 greens?
^ 3 Green
Norton, I saw in another post, that you have are using CAT CDMA with a download speed of about 3 meg. Is this correct? I currently am using CAT CDMA with a phone that only allows me to connect at 115 kbs, but would like to upgrade to their higher speed. As I am less than 1/2 km from the CAT tower, I can always get a good connection. Please PM me with your thoughts.
Thanks
CAT Telecom has 2 options on offer. The slower speed (115k bps) which you have and the higher speed (3.1m bps) I have. The higher speed CDMA option can only be used if you are near (about 10km) from a high speed tower.
Your local CAT Telecom office will know if the high speed system will work from your location. Go talk to them about it.

That's much better than what I have, 1 to 2. As I said, no problem here so must have something to do with either your PC or problems in your local CAT Telecom server.Originally Posted by mellow
Suggest you reinstall drivers on your PC. Might help. I have experienced odd problems in the past and after reinstalling they went away.
3 green is the normal signal strength , sometimes get 4 green. I'm about 6 kilo from the tower. It was working fine till just a couple of days ago. I re-installed the drivers(NOVATEL) and updated them. I turned on auto- update on Window XP and updated the operating system. Still disconnects, but less often. I think its a CAT CDMA problem at the tower. PC working fine, except for that.
