Firefox questions

I've decided to try Firefox again because I'm working with a slow connection and thought it might run a bit quicker than IE7 (which I do like ok).
I've downloaded 3.5.3 and added adblock which is a handy. Also transfered all my bookmarks which was another nice touch.
But all my pages such as google and teakdoor are displayed in a semi html look ie no colour backgrounds and no borders, surely that's not normal?, I can't remember it doing that before. Well I guees it should make the browser run faster at least, but it's a bit bland. What's going on? I mean here in the posting box I'm working on a plain white background with some black outlines and no smilies.

Uh ok found the box in Tools to allow websites to choose their own colours.

Yep definately missing all icons and links here, most notably the ones linking to the last posts... what's happening there?

This (google.co.th google.com.au its a mess) post is essential for getting google.com and not .co.th

Not too sure about the problems you mentioned though, never had the same myself.

Go to VIEW in the toolbar and see whats checked, it should be BASIC PAGE STYLE.

Sounds weird to me. I would try downloading it and re-installing it as well.
