[at] is " and " is [at]

So I just had a new harddisk installed in the laptop and everything is peachy but for the " being where the [at] should be and vice versa.

    Any ideas?

Change keyboard input language from English (United Kingdom) to English (US).

^Oh. OK. That'll be it then.

    ^^Thanks for that.

Any idea why this might have happened? It seems a bit odd and I'm not one for applying a quick fix when I don't know what caused the problem in the first place.

I dont know what the cause is then, generally when my keys are borked its cause the keyboard has changed from US to UK (no idea why it does that either).
