I reserved a Family Pack to be picked up at the Istudio at the Mall Bang Kapi today, but I called first and, of course, they didn't have it. The guy said that he called all around Bangkok and all Istudios were out of it because there was a problem with customs at the airport. Anyone know where to get one?

Have you tried the one at J Avenue on Tonglor. They're pretty good.

^ Exactly -- by the time you spent agonizing over the lack of stock, and looking at the various places that don't have it, you could have ordered it from the Apple Store (Thailand), which will ship it to you within 2-3 days (it ships out of Singapore). I did that, and it arrive promptly via DHL (shipping is free).

Rigghhttt, sounds easy.......but, after a 40 min wait the first time and about a 20 min the second, I finally got a real person on the 800 number in Singapore, who told me that they were out of stock, would get it in 3-5 days and ship it to me (300 baht, unless I spent 10 more baht which would put the Family Pack, 1190 baht, over the 2000 baht limit for free shipping) in 3-5 days, so I should plan on getting it in 10-14 days! I called the Mall Bang Kapi back and they said Wednesday, so I am going to wait and see if that works out.

You're new to using this 'internet' thing, aren't you - where, despite being provided the exact link to Snow Leopard on the Apple Online Store (Thailand), you instead waste your time calling the 800 number...?

    Here it would be again:

Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (Thailand)

Took me a total of 5 minutes to get mine ordered - then again, maybe you enjoy wasting 60 minutes of your time, and not taking advice from people trying to assist you.

    Are you Scampy?

Nice attitude.......thanks for you help (not). Obviously, the reason I called was to find out if it would take longer to get it shipped or pick it up locally, Einstein. Maybe it was your winning personality that enabled you to get it faster, but something tells me otherwise! Why don't you have another drink, sit back and think of something/one else to complain about/criticize and I'm sure you'll find another target soon enough. Or better yet, take your nasty, condescending attitude back to wherever you came from!

Cool! What are the specs of your Mac if I may ask?
    I have a 2 year old Macbook white, 2GB RAM, 2.1Ghz processor.
After two + weeks the only issue I had was a blutooth pairing with my mobile that went screwy. Deleted it and set it up again, no problem now.

I've had Snow Leopard running on an iMac and an alu MacBook for a week or so now also, both seem snappier. Apple seem to have fixed their X11 too so Gimp doesn't need the replacement X11 thingy now.

Waking the iMac from sleep is much faster now, and I like the new Dock functions.

All in all a very hassle free upgrade.

[at] The Fresh Prince: Are you still looking for your NAT indicator at the bottom of Vuze? If so, go find it here: Vuze in menubar > Preferences > Interface > Display, at the top you'll find the things you were missing... And don't forget to say 'Apply' in the right bottom corner!
