Thread: Microsoft IE8 and Windows Live!

Sadly, today I downloaded and installed IE8 and Windows Live - IE8 worked reasonably - Windows Live took 5 hours to download and install - What a piece of crap!

It now seems to have halved the speed of any internet connections I use - whether Firefox or IE -

The software is so lame that it allows me to sign in, and then when I try to access mail - it tells me I don't have an account - when you then go to sign up for Hotmail - it asks you to create a WINDOWS LIVE ID - when you are already signed in - was this shit designed by complete retards?

Now - the reason for the post - how can you COMPLETELY REMOVE this worthless pile of shit and all of it's extensions from the PC?

Everything - as if it had never been here in the firstplace!

Well done Microsoft - another heap of crap - imagine if they tried to charge money for this rubbish!

The general user populations aren't finally rising from their slumber as to Microsoft. Bill Gates and associates are leading us down a primrose lane.

Before to engage in any risky install you should have made a backup of your operating system on an external or separate hard drive.

SystemRescueCd is free of charge and in GPL.

I don't know much about Windows but there is a "Restore" function it seems.

I was thinking of doing the same and I found this on the web.

Go to START>Help> system restore.
Start> control panel>Add or remove programs
I like to use Safari on my Dell Laptop
I use Windows Explorer 8 on my Dell Desktop>no problems

Download and burn an Ubuntu CD. Use the 'wipe out all MS crap on your computer option' Never download anything from MS again.

Sounds promising - need to have a look at that!
But honestly - what a bunch of areseholes could have come up with windows live - you can't integrate it within it's own platform, nor can you uninstall it / install it correctly - they should be fucking shot! Our software guys would have been hung by their balls if they had designed a pice of shit like that!
