How do you set up an email account for a company you already have, but do not have nor want a website ?

For example if I do not want a hotmail. yahoo or gmail etc type of account, but something like Mailme[at]mycompany.com

Sign up for Google Apps
The domain you provide will be used for all your Google services. For example, if you choose example.com or mail.example.com, you will be able to create user accounts for john[at]example.com or jane[at]mail.example.com.

Yahoo offer it for $34.95 per year. Probably other providers do as well.

Pretty sure you'll need the domain first for that as well. If you buy the domain you can just buy a hosting package which will come with x amount of email accounts.

buy the domain at godaddy.com you can then set up a few email accounts at no additional cost Pain n the ass to use their interface, though. gettign a domain for your company is a good idea, I usually am suspect of so-called "compaines" where the person contacting me has a hotmail, yahoo or gmail account.

Thankyou, I do have a nice ring, so the missus says.

FF.....that is why i want it also, hotmail etc accounts sound so cheap and nasty for business.

So if i go to the google link provided i can buy my domain name of my company for 10 bucks and then get email addies for it correct ?? What other costs are there, does it need to be active or whatever that thingy is called when you put it on a server etc and pay per year for something.

Also if I buy it from the google link, am i bound to use and pay them continually to keep it active ?

Just want a simple solution for a simple guy.....wish i was friends with an apple guru.....he might know.

Get the domain address and then use gmail. I log in at gmail but my emails are sent with my domain name, not sure how it's done, my webmaster configured it.

buy your domain for 10 USD per year - you will have to pay some one money each year to keep it going

the 10USD basic hosting plan will give you some email addresses with your domain.

as said , a real company email address is professional , but I would also consider getting a quick small page made with - home, product,about , contact - on it also.

I forgot to mention nawty, remember when you done your diy anal wart removing thread, it was in the health forum, theres a serious medical site that is suscribed to that feed, ie you done the thread and it went on there website via the feed, now remember this is a serious medical website looking for content like best place in bangkok for lasik surgery and stuff like that, i foking pissed myself when I saw your thread at the top of there page

I doubt they suscribe to the feed anymore though
