i am beginning to regret starting this thread
^Where did you get that ugly avatar ?
I have an idea for a hat or helmet that takes the random thoughts bouncing around in tiny minds and posts them on twitter
I will call it the "dribble shitter for twitter "
where do I find some venture capitalists ?

I don't get it.
A few people that I used to knock around with are on Facebook and update it via their mobiles with completely inane things like - Jeff wants a cup of tea tonight.
Steve is going to Cardiff.
Jo is tired!!!!!
I don't get the point of it.

my original idea of it was that it was a wanky way of updating facebook status shit.
But a mate of mine is a principal here, he had a problem to do with Depkinas (education ministry in indo) so he logged onto twitter, posted a quick question, and received useful replies quicker than emailing a bunch of people.
It depends on who you follow and what you use it for.

Twitter breaks Jakarta bombing news
Asher Moses
July 17, 2009 - 12:32PM
Within seconds of the first explosion in Jakarta, Twitter lit up with first-hand accounts from people on the ground - well before the big media companies could scramble into position.
Just like during last year's Mumbai terrorist attacks and, closer to home, the recent bushfires that ravaged Victoria, Twitter has once again proved its worth as a lightning fast way to spread information during disasters and breaking news events.
Daniel Tumiwa appeared to be first in the world to report the Jakarta bombings on the Ritz-Carlton and Marriott hotels.
"Bom [at] marriot and ritz Carlton kuningan jakarta," he wrote.
"Left location.Shocked. Lots of blood. Breakfast meetings at coffee shops while bombs went off."
Before long other Indonesians were uploading photographs and details they had recorded on their mobile phones.
Andre Siregar, who was in the Ritz-Carlton when the bombs went off, wrote that he "felt building shake twice" and published a photograph of the Ritz-Carlton's crushed facade.
"Airlangga restaurant explosion. We just had dinner there last night," he wrote.
Another user posted a photograph of smoke billowing out of both hotels.

I tried Twitter waaaaaaay back in August 2007 and at the time didnt really have much use for it. Bought a bundle of software and it had a Mac Twitter client so thought Id try it out.
I cant stand all this following some DJ Twat or Katie Price type of bollocks as I have enough inane thoughts of my own to get by on so I decided to take a look at some of the sites I use and they, like TD have a feed that pretty much mirrors whats on the site. So in a way its replaced my RSS feed as its loads quicker on my phone.
I tried to hold out but it got me in the end
As I was an early ish user I got my name pretty easy so Im [at]melv or something similar![]()
