Hows your internet running?

My True service has slowed down since Thursday night. There are some sites I can't access and others that take forever to load.

Anyone other reports out there?

You may find that it is a google thing, try loading sites without google on them.

I am on TOT both at home and at the office, I'm sure it knows when I have a lot of work to do and deliberately slows down or just goes down. TOT is the 'Christine' of ISPs but daren't change to True as the stories are equally scary!

TT&T is no better they probably are all using the same old equipment in an old factory building serviced by Somchai.

My TT&T Maxnet in Udon actually delivers higher download speeds than I pay for. Only fair after the shitty service one gets in Bangkok.

They usually turn up the volume for old customers when they have new campaign/offers.
I passed by the TT&T shop yesterday and saw flyers for 3Mbit 590 Baht

Mine is fast as well, just the usual cut off when raining before yesterday. Didn't last long though.

I've seen the 590 bahts offer, seems cheap for 3Mb, I pay double now for the 2Mb[at]Premier. Is this package the Indy or anything else ?

It is the Indy package, 3072/512 for 590, 4096/512 for 790 and 5120/512 for 1090.

Mine a wee bit spotty but not bad. Try disconnect, connect a couple of times if it gets really slow. Works for me (sometimes).

I do all that, but it's gotten slower over the last 2 years, instead of faster. Wish I could find an alternative out here in the sticks.

I had INDY and went to Premier and it was twice the money but got twice the speed too, but it still is not what they say it is.

Being a fellow sticksian, I share your problem. Only alternative I am aware of is iPstar. Expensive and not really very good.

Are you using EV-DO modem? What does your signal strength look like? Given yours is 2 years old, if signal strength is OK, possible a new modem may improve performance. The one I use is a Hutch EV-DO and it does a fair job. It's only a few months old.

Maybe they've upped my speed a bit, as I signed up for the 4096/512 for 1000B a month (+ VAT).

I have the phone combo moden, I average about 130 kbps, slower on weekends.

I had the same until a few months ago. You're right really slow. Next time you're at the CAT office inquire about EV-DO availability in your village.

Will depend on how close you are to a EV-DO repeater.

Crap True Sucks!! I went from lightening fast for months to a turtles crawl.

The only difference is I started downloading torrents.

Same as me then, I pay 1190B + VAT but that includes phone with 100B free calls per month.
Anyway, I stopped by their desk today just to check I hadn't missed something now when they have new prices.
They told me I was jacked up to 5120/512 which is what I had expected.

They never lower your monthly bill when it gets cheaper, they always keep you on the same price but gives you the higher speed.
