I found these two files in the root folder of C: when I was doing a disk cleanup. I googled them, and some guys said it was possible to get rid of them if (a) you don't use the hibernate function and (b) if you have enough RAM.

Well, I don't use hibernate (it's disabled) and I've got 2GB RAM, so:

1. Do you agree that I don't need them and can free up 4GB?

2. If not, why?

3. If so, how can I get rid of them? The google answer (Control Panel > Power Options > Hibernate > disable > reboot) didn't get rid of hibersil.sys.

Edit: sorry, should have said XP SP2.
