Ok, got to admit that you did a pretty good job with the 20min teaser you sent to the client, just saw it yesterday, it looks great.
Still I don't understand why you can't finish it after you delivered the first 20min so quickly in less than a week.

^ wonder if he has explained to the client that it's going to be lots of 20 minute teasers.

It's mediocre - I'll include that gratis on the DVD as compensation for the delay - though it is not a problem.
Before going to the Apple guy the file was backed up on external HD AND data disc - I may be stupid but not that stupid.
I did the teaser preview, then the first 30 seconds of the full version and then chased the client for the vital info I needed to proceed with the opening credits which took 3 weeks to retrieve.you did the first 25min and then nothing for 5 weeks !!!
When project is done I have a couple of other jobs then will live in Samui for a month where I will be the young apprentice of a German pro who would like me to work with him and who I would like to teach me Final Cut - sounds like a good deal.
"I'm an outsider by choice, but not truly. It's the unpleasantness of the system that keeps me out. I'd rather be in, in a good system. That's where my discontent comes from: being forced to choose to stay outside.
My advice: Just keep movin' straight ahead. Every now and then you find yourself in a different place."

^ You are going to be making scat movies.
Classy scampy very classy
Don't be overzealously modest, it was very good, and you know it. I quite liked the format. Everything was done in good taste, I doubt you could do better without making it overly artistic. The pace, the music, the cuts all fell into place. Don't change anything. You got it.Originally Posted by The Gentleman Scamp

My gripe with the preview you kindly complimented is that it contains a couple of 'scenes' - it can't make up it's mind if it's a trailer or a preview. It should have been more bam bam bam and without the golf buggy bit, but other than that I'm happy with it. I'm never 100% happy with anything but I hope that's more of a good thing than a bad one.
P.S. Butterfly - I posted your Apple comment on Mac Forums which ruffled a few feathers! Are Mac's rubbish? - Page 2 - Mac-Forums.com
^^ Mr Q - not at all, he's German but he's ok - does promos for hotels and other companies in Europe and Asia... I have a long way to go but a guru is just what I need right now.

I like the way you called BF a Belgian.![]()
Mac users are the lamest of all, I used to troll them a lot, quite funny.
They are like the religious fanatics, always defensive, and when confronted with facts and truth always attacking first as it's their best defense
I stand by my words, Macs are inferior machines, can't hack it with big files, and the OS X is just a pretty toy OS for spoiled students and pretty girls with too much freetime on their hand.
Go visit any big TV prodution studio, they all switched to PC about 10 years ago, maybe a few are resisting but not for long.
Macs are lame for anything productive, and that's the problem. They look great though, even though they are a bit gay.

What's wrong with you that you would actually enjoy doing such a thing?Originally Posted by Butterfly
^^ trolling them with very technical questions, harmless really
Sorry buad hai, forgot you are a Mac user, I should said "most"
Btw, I still have Macs at home, so technically I am still a Mac user, 20 years Mac guru![]()
The Scamp goes on a techy geek forum for mac users and posts this:
Someone better go over there and warn them....I love cats and I don't mind dogs providing they are clean.
People who 'hate' cats do so because, like any human you would have an ounce of respect for, you have to earn their love and affection.
A dog will love anyone, you can kick a dog and it will come back to you whereas a cat would say forget you - i'll find somebody who treats me right.
If we had no individuality and all shared the same opinion then the world would be a very boring place... It would also be a very nice peaceful place.
How was your Christmas Scamp?
Will we getting to see any of this vid?

^ Xmas was like any other day in Samui.
As for your second question - not all the while you're hiding behind your PC stalking my posts.![]()

Can we have an update on the Scampy / Sandra saga please?
Brit...?

My BIL owns a successful ad agency in Los Angeles. They make animated videos for customers all over the world. If you've watched TV you've seen his work. His shop has been all Mac and Windoze free ever since he started out 15 years ago. Most of what he does involves rendering 3D animations; the manipulation of thousands and thousands of polygons. This is intensive, cpu hogging work that results in massive files. I've never heard him have anything but praise for his stable of Macs. His decision to use them is based on neither brand loyalty nor blind fanaticism, but on the bottom line: Macs make him rich.
Note to Scampy: He doesn't use iMovie....
ah dunno WHAT yur talkin' about but ah LOVE the rhetoric.....
Looking back this from the perspective of today, it appears that Scampy really hasn't made any personal progress in over two years.
Amusing, but sad.
of course not, he is a mac user, they never learn anything
