Is this better than the shop sticking in an SSD with a bodgy copy Win 10 on it, and keeping me HDD as storage?
The HDD C Drive has 180Gb of stuff on it, that seem to be installed programs and Win 7. When the SSD is connected with Win 10 on it, What happens to the current C drive that boots Win 7?
will the PC auto-boot Win 10 from the SSD, and my HDD still has the C drive with Win 7 and all the program files on it?
Jesus wept.
just take the old HD out before you try to install windows on the SSD - you can put it back in after
Good man.
Just better make sure me Exodus in on me C drive, wouldn't want to lose me $3 worth of Decred.![]()
Is it Windows XP? You could always tap buttplug for some advice.
carked it.
This is the badboy to remove, right?
Will head to the shop tomorrow to get an SSD and new Windows.
The wires that connect to the current HDD, will they be plugged into the new SSD, or will they still be free? (the SSD will have it's own wires connecting to the whatever?)
Some items saved on the current desktop, when I reconnect the HDD, will still be there, somewhere in the new D drive?
Should I get anything else while there. New motherboard?
The 8Gb of Ram seems fine.
The video card does 1080p on the 55 inch TV.
Can only think of upgrading the motherboard.
Would a new motherboard do much combined with the SSD, or just keep the old one?
^ done.
Just saw someone updated the Bitcoin thread. Hope me Exodus wallet is still on the Hdd after this. That's where I store 100% of me Decred.![]()
