Trying to get uTorrent working properly by forwarding a port, but looking at the hard way of doing it nearly made my brain explode yesterday.

Thanks, lom, I'll have a look.

I don't believe in port forwading.

I've never met anyone that said it works.

fortunately my azureus was just point and go.
very happy with my download rates.

It's not a cracked version. It starts to run, then you get:

Thanks, Mid, but step one has 10 steps, none of which I know how to do. That's what made my brain explode yesterday.

It's not asking for a username, just a password. It's not admin, Admin, adm, TOT, 1234, it's not my phone number (which I thought it was)...

Can I reset it? If I reset it (default username : password is admin : 1234), will it bugger anything up?

I had the same problem and the same headache, then I read that if you enable uPNP then it all works.

I logged onto my router, clicked 'enable uPNP' and job done

Edit : Actually it might have been LOM that told me

you need to access the router to set a static IP ,

without a static IP , port forwarding DOES NOT WORK ,

the reset gamble is yours ....................

    me , I'd do it !!!!!!

    your call .

back to the static ip link ,

bottom of that page helps with deciding your ip ,

in your router your looking to create a new NAT Rule with the static ip you chose .
