Have the house to myself today, so besides a massive wankathon with the sound system up full blast, I decided to clean up the main mrs' PC computer.

It makes lots of horrible noises and was clogged up with years of dust and crud.


Took it apart.


Got the hoover out and vacuumed all the dust off.

Got stuck in with the baby wipes.

Put some electrical tape around the edges of the case before sliding them back together.

A wee dab of sonax on the screws and tested it out.







Whoops.


All her PhD stuff is on it.

She's about 3/4's way through and that's where she works from.


Not good.

Can hit F12 and get to this:



Got 3 or 4 hours before she comes home and sees that she's lost all her PhD work.
